JULIE SOUSA

Julie Sousa is an experienced music teacher living in Toronto with her family. An accomplished musician, she completed her classical piano training with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Julie also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from York University. In Julie's years as a piano student, she participated in many music festivals across Ontario, receiving scholarships and first place awards for her performances.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Julie is accustomed to teaching a wide range of students in age and ability and enjoys finding new ways to teach each student that fits their unique style. She has coached students towards First Class Honours in RCM exams, festival competitions, learning new styles of Rock and Pop, and beginner improvisation.

Julie is passionate about fostering a safe, creative, and highly motivating musical experience.
